Work from earlier this Summer. Shooting for GoVype (which is owned by British American Tobacco) to promote their Vaping devices. Brief was to capture candid moments of hip, young people hanging out and enjoying their vapes. We chose East London backgrounds around Liverpool St, Colombia Road, Broadway Market for the rich variety of architecture and parks in these locales.

I’ve been shooting the stunning Copper Bath tubs made by Dorset based company ‘William Holland’ for a couple of years, but this was our first advertising shoot together. The concept was one of the bath tubs set in bucolic rural settings, one a wildflower meadow, and the second, a field of bright red poppies. I worked with a Nikon D810, 45mm PC and 70-200mm f/2.8 lenses, along with a Profoto B1 and 5 foot Octabox which was invaluable in helping to highlight the bathtub, the hero of the image, from the surroundings. These images will soon be running as full page a4 adverts in ‘World of Interiors’ and other magazines, I can’t wait to see how these pictures look in print.
I have recently been out braving the cold to shoot the Aquatics Centre at dawn and dusk, this time of year (January & February) provides optimum angles of lighting on the Zaha Hadid designed buildings facade.
